Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan will both be left out of Inter’s tactical drills and Sunday’s preseason friendly against Lugano, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Neither are part of Antonio Conte’s plans this season but neither have been sold in time to avoid their participation in this week’s summer training camp.
Icardi will join his teammates for Inter’s fitness exercises and still hopes to convince Conte he deserves another chance with the Nerazzurri.
The forward is almost certain to leave before the transfer window closes, however, with the former Juventus and Chelsea boss determined to hold firm on his position.
Inter’s chief executive Beppe Marotta yesterday confirmed Icardi and Nainggolan were surplus to requirements after weeks of persistent speculation.
Conte reportedly hoped Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku would be signed in time to begin training with him today, but both remain distant from a move to the club at present.
