Inter Begin Life Under Conte With Tough Double Training Session

Inter began life under Antonio Conte today with an intense double training session at the Nerazzurri’s summer camp in Switzerland.

The first-team squad was split into several groups in the morning, which was dedicated to athletic tests and in particular running-based exercises.

The players then moved onto more technical work from 6pm local time, following a short warm-up with a 6-vs-2 possession drill and a tactical session with the ball.

Inter will stay in Lugano until the end of the week before jetting off to Asia for their traditional summer tour.

Conte’s first official fixture in charge of the Nerazzurri will be against Lugano on Sunday before Manchester United and Juventus arrive in the International Champions Cup.

Inter are also due to face Paris Saint-Germain in the International Super Cup before returning to Europe, at which point they will play Tottenham on 4 August.

The new Serie A season will commence three weeks later.
