Sensi: “Conte Asks For Education, Respect & Sacrifice From This Inter”

Inter new recruit Stefano Sensi has shared his views following the pre-season friendly victory over Lugano yesterday in an interview with RSI.

“I am happy for the goal and above all for the team. It was definitely not easy as Lugano are a good team and we had worked a lot during the week,” he started.

“We tried to impose what we had been working on in training on the field and I think we saw it but a week was not enough.

“We have to work hard, improve ourselves and perform the manager’s requests of us better.”

Sensi was then asked what Conte has been asking of the team during pre-season.

“Definitely two fundamental things: education and respect. The third I say is sacrifice. It is important to sacrifice myself for the team in order to have a good season.

“They always tell me to be a player far from the characteristics of the modern footballer, but I don’t think about these things; I work to improve myself.”

In conclusion he was asked what kind of player he models his game on.

“I try to model myself on Xavi. I have always liked him. He comes closest to my characteristics and has always amazed me by the way he sees football.”
