Juventus Not In A Hurry To Sign Inter Striker Icardi

Juventus are not in a rush to sign Mauro Icardi from Inter this summer, Tuttosport again reported today.

The Bianconeri are safe in the knowledge Maurito has no offers from abroad at present and would only join them if he moved to another Italian club.

Napoli will attempt to change the striker’s mind but Icardi retains a strong preference for Juventus at the moment.

“Juventus are waiting to secure him for the best possible conditions,” the Turin-based paper explained.

“They’re not worried the deal could fall through if they wait too long because their priority for now is to sell players.

“If Icardi arrives for a cheap price then that would be great for them. Otherwise they believe they are already covered in attack.”

Antonio Conte has excluded Icardi from Inter’s preseason tour in Asia, leaving the Nerazzurri’s former captain to train alone at Appiano Gentile.

Juve’s waiting game is jeopardising Inter’s bid to sign Romelu Lukaku, having planned to use the money from Icardi’s sale to finance a deal for the Belgian.
