Inter have had a €60 million bid for Romelu Lukaku rejected by Manchester United, according to various reports in England.
The Nerazzurri are desperate to sign the striker for Antonio Conte, who criticised the club’s lack of transfer activity in a press conference yesterday.
United have slapped an €80 million price tag on Lukaku and are not showing any signs of budging yet.
Conte told reporters on Friday that the Belgian ‘would improve’ his new-look Inter side, but he remains a long way away for now.
Inter lost their first International Champions Cup match against the Red Devils on Saturday, going down 1-0 to a Mason Greenwood strike.
Conte’s side will now play Juventus on Wednesday before concluding their Asian tour against Paris Saint-Germain on 27 July.
Neither Lukaku nor Edin Dzeko have arrived in Milan yet and Conte’s patience appears to be wearing thin.
Sebastiano Esposito and Samuele Longo had to start up front in Singapore today, with no first-choice forwards currently available.
