Icardi To Speak With Ancelotti As Inter Striker Opens To Napoli Move

Mauro Icardi will speak with Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti this week as the Inter striker ponders a move to the Partenopei, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Maurito was thought to only be interested in joining Juventus up until now, but it seems the Nerazzurri’s ex-captain is beginning to change his mind.

Wife and agent Wanda Nara is now willing to move away from their current home in Milan, giving Napoli a much better chance of securing the 26-year-old.

Inter want €60-70 million for Icardi and significant developments are expected in the next few days.

Napoli’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli met Wanda in Milan two weeks ago and informed her of the eye-watering offer Aurelio De Laurentiis was prepared to make for her husband.

Icardi’s image rights will need to be sorted as Napoli like to control all of their players in that sense, but this is an easy obstacle to overcome.

If Icardi decides a move to Naples would be better for his career prospects than signing for Juventus, it will not be at all difficult for Inter to reach an agreement with De Laurentiis in short order.

The forward will continue to train alone at Appiano Gentile for now, having been excluded from Inter’s preseason tour in Asia.
