Luis Suarez has revealed his belief that the Mauro Icardi saga could have been resolved if there was a better relationship between him and his Inter teammates.
“It is always difficult to judge the Icardi situation as we do not know for sure what happened. If he had been closer to his team mates, he could have tried to mend the situation at the end of the season. The situation could have been mended,” the Spaniard told TuttoMercatoWeb Radio.
He also commented on Inter’s pursuit of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
“He could have come to Inter when he was 17-years-old. He is a good player but he is not worth the figures being mentioned. He really costs too much but if you really need something, you tend to pay more than you should.”
He then shared his scathing views of Inter’s current owners, Suning.
“It is not clear who is in charge. I do not trust Suning, who put their name at the entrance of the training ground, setting aside the name of President Moratti.”
