Inter must overcome stiff resistance from Juventus if they wish to secure Paulo Dybala, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Dybala will remain on the market this month after the Bianconeri failed to complete deals with Manchester United or Tottenham, before the Premier League’s transfer window shut yesterday.
Andrea Agnelli is very reluctant to open any talks with the Nerazzurri, however, following the clubs’ bitter scrap over Romelu Lukaku.
Juventus will attempt to sell Dybala abroad again in a bid to avoid swapping him for Mauro Icardi, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich both interested.
Dybala’s move to Tottenham fell through on Thursday because of an ongoing legal dispute regarding his image rights.
Juventus were prepared to drop their asking price below €60 million to push a deal through, but neither that nor the agreement reached on personal terms was enough to save the move.
Inter would not face any such issue if they went for Dybala because the Nerazzurri are no longer purchasing their players’ image rights from this year onwards.
However, this will not become a key factor playing in their favour unless Juventus reconsider their hard-line opposition to doing a deal.
Inter have told the Serie A champions they cannot sign Mauro Icardi unless they receive Dybala or €75-80 million in return.
Paulo Fonseca and Carlo Ancelotti are keen to bring Maurito to Roma and Napoli, but the striker still has no interest in joining either club.
Dybala is looking abroad at the moment in the hope his image rights problems do not influence his future decisions once again.
Beppe Marotta is waiting for La Joya with open arms, but it seems there is currently very little chance his dream transfer will become reality.
