Edin Dzeko’s wish to leave Roma is born from his desire to win the Serie A title according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Bosnian striker has already won the Bundesliga and Premier League during his career and now wants to add a Serie A winners medal to his trophy cabinet.
The 33-year-old wants to move to Inter, where he believes his chances of achieving this are far higher than if he were to remain with Roma.
Gazzetta go on to state that if it had been up to him, Dzeko would not have played tonight’s match against Real Madrid at the Stadio Olimpico. He was of the belief that the match against Parma last season would instead be his last at the Olimpico.
He is unsure of what awaits him tonight in terms of how the fans will receieve him but he is hopeful of leaving with a good memory.
