Fonseca Not Considering Dzeko’s Exit But Dzeko Continues To Want Inter

Edin Dzeko has once again reiterated his desire to leave Roma to join Inter according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Bosnian striker has wanted to leave the Italian capital to join Inter for some time now but new Roma manager Paulo Fonseca seemingly wants to keep him around and his recent comments show this.

Ahead of Roma’s friendly with Real Madrid, Fonseca told the media: “Dzeko will play from the first minute against, our play style relies on him and at the moment we don’t consider his exit. At the moment I’m counting on him and we’re working together for the first match of the season against Genoa.”

Following Fonseca’s comments, Dzeko “peremptorily” told Roma that he wishes to leave to join the Nerazzurri.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to suggest that unless Roma have a replacement, Dzeko will not be allowed to leave and he will just have to remain with the club and see the final year of his contract out.
