Dalbert is reluctant to accept a move to Fiorentina ahead of a return to Nice, Corriere dello Sport confirmed this morning.
Inter have revived their talks with the Viola over a potential loan swap involving the Brazilian and Cristiano Biraghi.
Biraghi has already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri but Fiorentina need to produce a find argument to win over Dalbert’s resistance.
“After two difficult seasons in Italy, where the limits he’s shown have been more psychological than technical, Dalbert thinks the best way to kick-start his career is to rejoin the club where he made his breakthrough,” CdS explained.
“He thinks he needs a sort of ‘comfort zone’ to help recover his best form, which is exactly what he hasn’t had with the Nerazzurri.”
Fiorentina must find a way to convince the 25-year-old he would be wanted in Florence, but the Viola may receive a helping hand from Nice themselves.
Reports in France yesterday suggested the Ligue 1 club may already have identified Paris Saint-Germain’s Stanley Nsoki as a Plan B, having failed to reach an agreement with Inter.
