Inter new boy Alexis Sanchez has shared his desire to win something whilst at the club on loan from Premier League outfit Manchester United.
“First of all, I want thank my teammates for the welcome I have received. I am here to help the team win something. The coach wants to win and that is why I am here,” Inter’s new number seven remarked in an interview with Inter TV.
The move to Inter has allowed Sanchez to be reunited with several former teammates and he shared his thoughts on this.
“Asamoah never used to talk much in the past, he talks more now and he looks happy which is great. Handanovic is a captain who always talks before the game, he gives energy to the team and he’s great for the group. I also know Candreva from my time with Udinese.
“I’m happy to be here with Lukaku too. I know him from Manchester United and we talk a lot, we’re together a lot, he’s a friend of mine.”
He also looked ahead to Inter’s looming Champions League ties with his former club Barcelona.
“Playing against Barcelona is always a special occasion. I won a lot when I was there. It will be a very difficult match but we have the players to win, so let’s go and fight.”
In conclusion, he announced his desire to win some silverware in his time with Inter.
“I want to win something, we have to fight together. If we can be compact as a group, then we can win. The whole team and I will do our best to get as far as possible and win something, that is why I am here.”
