Italian Media Suggest Scuffle Between Brozovic & Lukaku Helped Inter Beat AC Milan

The fight between Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku following the Nerazzurri’s disappointment against Slavia Prague in the Champions League may have helped Inter win the derby, writes Milan based newspaper la Gazzetta dello Sport.

Both Brozovic and Lukaku scored in Inter’s 2-0 victory over AC Milan last night, with coach Antonio Conte happy to see the passion and fight in his players.

Antonio Conte’s tactical masterclass against the Rossoneri flummoxed Milan coach Marco Giampaolo, with Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella controlling the midfield and the defensive partnership of Diego Godin and Danilo D’Ambrosio shutting down Milan talent Rafael Leão.

Former Manchester United striker Lukaku has scored three goals in his first four league appearances with the Nerazzurri, including dedicating his goal last night to his mother.

Brozovic’s goal also puts him in a small club alongside Ivan Perisic and Zvonimir Boban as Croatian players who have scored in the Milan derby.
