Inter legend Marco Materazzi has reflected upon Inter’s early season form in Serie A, with the Nerazzurri currently sitting pretty at the top of the table after the best possible start.
“Inter have picked up 12 points in four league games, conceding only one goal and after stumbling against Slavia Prague, they got themselves back on track in the Milan derby on Saturday,” he remarked in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
Materazzi, who spent 10 trophy-laden years on Inter’s books between 2001/11, then shared his views on Inter manager Antonio Conte and how he would feel if Conte were to deliver Inter’s first Serie A title since the 2009/10 season.
“He is a great coach, he has shown it over the years. If he is also a great fan of Inter, I am even happier. And, if he were to win Inter the Scudetto, I would be the happiest person in the world.”
