Inter legend Luis Suarez has shared his views on Inter’s performances so far in the Champions League group stages with them managing a draw and a loss so far.
“Inter played very well but after Barcelona equalised, they became disjointed and were missing something,” he said in an interview with Quotidiano Sportivo.
“The Champions League is different to the league but Juventus play at the level you play against in the Champions League. Inter can still do something in the Champions League. The match with Slavia Prague was very strange but what we have seen so far bodes well, I think Inter can fight with anyone.”
He was then asked about whether he thinks Inter can win the Serie A title.
“We have seen improvement in Inter, but we have to wait a while before making any real judgements. In December, maybe we will understand things better but Inter deserves trust because they have started well.”
In conclusion he sang the praises of Inter’s Stefano Sensi, who has caught many by surprise with his quality performances since his Summer arrival.
“Sensi is a very interesting player and it was certainly difficult to think that he would be so strong. Most people suffer when they arrive at a big team but he did not.”
