Inter defeated Sassuolo away at the Mapei Stadium 3-4 after unnecessary drama at the end when the Nerazzurri collapsed conceding two goals in the last 17 minutes of the match.
The Nerazzurri dominated the match from the start of the match and broke the deadlock after only two minutes via Lautaro Martinez. Berardi equalized but that did not stop the Nerazzurri who continued to impose themselves and went into the half time interval with a 3-1 lead thanks to a brace by Romelu Lukaku.
The second half continued the way the first ended until the 73rd minute when the Nerazzurri stopped playing suffering a blackout and Sassuolo scored two quick goals causing unnecessary nerve towards the end
