Fiorentina President Commisso On Inter Linked Chiesa: “I’ve Said Since Day One, He Would Stay For At Least Another Year”

In an interview with Italian radio show Radio Anch’io Lo Sport, Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso has spoken on the future of Federico Chiesa.

The Italian wide-man has been strongly linked with a move from La Viola for a few seasons now with both Inter and Juventus understood to be particularly keen in adding him to their ranks.

“I have said from since my first day in charge that Chiesa would be staying for at least another year. After that, it is up to him to make his own decisions. He plays with a smile on his face. He was not in the best shape last night but still had a great game.”

The Italo-American also spoke on Gaetano Castrovilli, another player Inter have drawn links to recently.

“As for Castrovilli, we have signed him to a five year contract. He is ours and we hope to keep him for a long time.”
