Report Claims Inter Are Silently Wanting To Win Serie A Title

In today’s print edition, Corriere della Sera raise the idea that Inter are secretly trying to win the Serie A title this season, despite the continued attempts by many involved at Inter to play the idea down, namely manager Antonio Conte and chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta.

“They want it but they don’t say it. After eight years of undisputed Juventus domination, the goal of Inter is to snatch the Scudetto from Juventus. Beppe Marotta repeated at the shareholders meeting a few days ago that there is no pressure to win immediately, but is doing his utmost to make the dream a reality,” the report states.

The report also goes on to state that Conte will have to try and recover a few players before the reinforcements he craves can arrive in January.

Valentino Lazaro has had a particularly hard start to life in Nerazzurri following his Summer arrival but Conte has managed to recover many players in his time as a manager and has already done it with some players during his short time at Inter, most notably with Antonio Candreva.

Another player Conte will look to recover is Matteo Politano. Politano saw a lot of use earlier on in the season but has fallen right down the pecking order in recent weeks.
