Manchester United have joined the race to sign Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The Premier League outfit have joined Spanish giants Barcelona in showing an interest in signing the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is currently starring for the Nerazzurri this season.
As things stand, interested parties will have to stump up a sum of no less than €111 million so to activate the release clause in his contract – a figure which the report goes on to remind is over four times the amount Inter shelled out to buy him in 2018.
Other reports in the media have stated that Inter are looking to fend off interest in their young forward by tying him down to a new and improved deal.
Some reports state Inter are hoping to significantly increase the release clause whilst others have said Inter management wish to remove it entirely.
