Italian Report Suggests Juventus Fans Sent Letter Containing Death Threat To Inter Coach Antonio Conte

A report from Milano based newspaper Il Giornale today has revealed that the Milanese investigators assigned to investigate the threatening letter and bullet sent to Inter and their coach Antonio Conte have a theory that the letter was sent by some Juventus fans.

The report details how the letter contained threats to the 50-year-old Italian coach, who formerly played and coached the Bianconeri earlier in his career.

The investigators are now on the basis that the letter may have been ‘revenge’ from some Juventus fans towards the coach, due to his position at their biggest rivals, Inter. Furthermore, some sentences contained in the letter seem to push the investigation in that direction.

Earlier this year over 15,000 Juventus fans signed a petition calling for Antonio Conte’s star outside Juventus’ Allianz Stadium to be removed, showing the Bianconeri fans’ anger at his coaching role with the Nerazzurri, historically Juventus’ biggest footballing rivals.
