Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi gave his thoughts about who would win the league this season and the importance of Inter coach Antonio Conte’s return to Italian football in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
De Zerbi first gave his prediction for this season’s winner.
“Juventus will win because they’re the strongest.”
He then spoke about Conte’s return to Italian football.
“A competitor that last year Juve didn’t have, but also he brings new ideas. Conte still plays with 3-5-2, but something has changed, and he has brought back his winning mentality.”
Conte has worked hard since his return to Italian football with Inter over the summer. After 12 games in the league, Inter sit second in the league table, one point behind rivals and league leaders Juventus.
The Nerazzurri have only dropped points twice in 12 games, first in a disappointing 2-1 loss to the Bianconeri in October before suffering a 2-2 draw against Parma later on in the month.
