In a column in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, legendary Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi has taken a look at the race for the Serie A title.
“It has always been between Juventus and Inter. Inter won 3-0 against Torino in the rain on a field that was at the limits of practicability,” he began.
“Conte’s men adapted to the field. The Nerazzurri demonstrated their craft, strength, class, great team spirit and maximum attention.
“Lautaro and Lukaku are more and more decisive, Brozovic was the best, the three central defenders won all of their duels. de Vrij was also good in the build-up phase.
He concluded: “Mazzari’s Torino fought but could do nothing against a very strong Inter. Antonio Conte is doing a great job. If they grow further, add depth to the squad and are more and more compact and agressive, they could become a serious challenger to Juventus.”
