A report in today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper La Stampa has criticised Inter and their coach Antonio Conte, for deciding to cancel yesterday’s press conference, due to an abusive article published in Friday’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri cancelled the press conference with only a few minutes before it was due to begin, due to the article published about Conte in the Corriere dello Sport the day prior.
After explaining the situation, the report criticised the decision and suggested it was because Conte didn’t want to answer questions about Inter’s performances in the Champions League.
“Without going into detail, it is surprising that the Nerazzurri threw everyone together, blocking the doors to newspapers and journalists unrelated to the story. And even more surprising is the paradox of asking for respect by disrespecting.”
“First of all, disrespecting fans eager to know the thoughts of the coach. Unless it was cancelled to escape uncomfortable questions about the lost Champions League game against Barcelona.”
