Italian Report Highlights Inter’s January Transfer Market Moves From Barcelona’s Vidal To Chelsea’s Alonso

A report in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport has highlighted all the players that Inter are considering signing in the upcoming January transfer window.

The report begins by discussing Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, who is coach Antonio Conte’s most wanted player in January. The Catalan club have refused a loan deal with a buy option attached of €12 million, instead wanting an obligation to buy worth €25 million. The club would prefer to retain him, meaning the player will need to push harder for a move if Inter don’t rise to the Blaugrana’s request.

The next player highlighted in the report is Udinese talisman Rodrigo De Paul. The Friulian club want at least €35 million for the 25-year-old Argentine midfielder but Inter are offering no more than €25 million. Whilst Inter full back Federico Dimarco could be used to sweeten the deal, there is still work to be done and Inter are placing their priority on securing Vidal’s signature.

Dejan Kulusevski is also being considered for a January move, the report continues. Whilst Parma would prefer to keep him until the end of the season, an arrival on loan in January cannot be ruled out, even if Parma don’t consider the arrival of Musa Barrow from Atalanta enough to convince them.

Finally, Inter are searching for a new left back, the report adds. The first choice of Conte is is Chelsea full back Marcos Alonso. The South London club want at least €35 million for the player plus €5 million in bonuses, although Inter are hoping to secure a loan deal worth around €20 million, with a buy option attached instead of an obligation to buy. The plan B for the Nerazzurri is Parma full back Matteo Darmian, although the informal agreement Inter had with Parma in the summer is for his arrival next summer, rather than in January.
