Inter wingback Victor Moses discussed the Nerazzurri’s important 2-0 win in the Serie A over Udinese in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV shortly after the game.
“We worked hard, we knew it was a difficult away trip. We approached the game very well, we gave everything and, in the end, came away victorious, thanks to great teamwork.
“Juventus’ win could have put us under pressure, but we won by persevering with our culture of hard work. That could win us many more games.”
The 29-year-old Nigerian then discussed how he’s settling in with his new club after having joined Inter from Chelsea last month.
“I’m settling in very well. I knew Young, Lukaku. Inter is like family to me. We’re close at all times, and that’s the most important thing. If we want to win, we have to work hard.”
Moses then touched on the Nerazzurri’s next league game, the Milanese derby next weekend.
“We want to win. It was a good thing that we came here today and won. The next match will be very important for us, we want to win, putting the ‘we’ before the ‘I’. We have the qualities, even individually, to win.”
Finally, Moses discussed Romelu Lukaku’s claim that he gave the Nigerian player some lessons in 2013.
“I didn’t expect this move from Romelu. I will respond accordingly, as soon as I have a chance [laughs].”
Moses joined the Nerazzurri on a six-month loan deal from Chelsea, with a buy option attached. The player was requested specifically by coach Antonio Conte, who appreciates the Nigerian’s qualities and high work rate.
Moses worked under the 50-year-old Italian coach at Chelsea, with the duo winning the Premier League title together in the 2016/17 season, where Conte transformed the Nigerian into one of the most exciting and dangerous wing backs in the league. The player has struggled to live up to those levels since Conte’s departure from West London.
