Former Barcelona and Argentine national team manager Cesar Luis Menotti has tipped Inter striker Lautaro Martinez to have a very bright future in football.
The 22-year-old has come on leaps and bounds this season in his first season as a regular starter at Inter and his performances have attracted reported interest from a whole array of top clubs.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked to the Argentine national team forward, who has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with the Nerazzurri club, which runs until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Some reports in recent months have suggested Inter are to try and sign him to a new and improved deal which could see the release clause eliminated entirely from the contract.
“He is very young, but he is a player who is reaching the top. He has a huge future ahead of him,” Menotti said in an interview with Spanish news outlet Cadena Ser.
This season Lautaro has made 30 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.
