Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is planning on making a Summer transfer window swoop for Hellas Verona prospect Marash Kumbulla according to a report in today’s print edition of Il Messaggero.
Lazio have identified the young Albanian centre back as a player who could be a feature in their defence for the years to come but are not alone in having showing an interest in the 20-year-old.
Inter also showed a keen interest in signing the player during the recent January transfer window as did Napoli and Il Messaggero go on to report that the final decision will ultimately come down to the player himself.
Kumbulla has been one of the breakout stars of this Serie A season, his first in the top flight of Italian football and has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date.
In just under 1600 minutes on the pitch, Kumbulla, who is under contract until 2022, has contributed one goal and helped the team keep seven clean sheets.
