Photo – Inter Legend Zanetti Puts Pupi Foundation Events On Hold Due To Coronavirus

Javier Zanetti and wife Claudia have confirmed that they have taken the difficult decision to postpone events which will involve them meeting with people as part of their Pupi Foundation amid ongoing concerns relating to Coronavirus in a post to photo sharing social media platform Instagram.

The non-profit organisation was founded back in 2001 and the primary aim of the foundation is to provide aid to poor and disadvantaged children, particularly those in the Zanetti’s native Argentina.

“In these difficult days, we are strongly convinced that it is necessary to comply with the provisions that are given by the Government, in order to resume our everyday life as soon as possible.

“This leads us, reluctantly, not to be able to propose initiatives for meeting and raising awareness with our supporters at the moment.

“Since we always like to look forward with a smile, we thought that it is right that social responsibility does not stop and that there are ways of sharing and help that can be carried out, despite everything.

“Precisely for this reason we will strive to tell you even more, with the tools available, the activities of the PUPI Foundation and the various possibilities of support, because the Chain of Solidarity Values does not stop! A big hug and thank you very much!”
