Christian Eriksen is likely to be given another chance to kickstart his Inter career this coming Thursday when Inter play host to Getafe in the Europa League according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Danish national team midfielder joined the club in the January transfer window but has taken far longer than anyone expected to acclimatise to his new surroundings and has not been at his best when out on the pitch so far.
The report claims this could be down to Eriksen’s attitude which they claim is the same regardless of the results the team achieve on the pitch.
There is of course the tactical aspect to consider too. The mezzala role is key to Conte’s system and the former Tottenham Hotspur man most definitely is not a mezzala.
Moreover, there is a physical issue with Eriksen not quite up to the physical standards that Conte demands of his players.
