Inter are keeping tabs on River Plate defender Lucas Martinez Quarta according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report explains that the player dreams of a move to Europe and Inter could well be the club to help him realise that dream.
The 23-year-old defender has a €22 million release clause in his current contract with the Superliga Argentina giants and the report states that Inter’s fellow Serie A side Sampdoria have tried to sign him in the past.
Martinez Quarta is a product of River Plate’s academy which has given the footballing world stars such as Javier Mascherano, Hernan Crespo and Gonzalo Higuain to name just a few.
He has been with the club since 2012 and has made a total of 96 appearances across all competitions for them since making his debut for the first team back in 2016 in which he has scored five goals and provided three assists to his teammates.
