Italian Media Claims Inter & Juventus “Have Spoken” In Past Few Days Over Mauro Icardi As His Future At PSG Looking Uncertain

Juventus and Inter have been in contact in recent days to discuss a possible deal involving Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how French side Paris Saint Germain, where the 27-year-old forward is on loan, are looking to get a discount on the €70 million fee previously agreed between the Nerazzurri and the Parisians. They want to pay around €50 million, a significant drop.

Due to this, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has been in contact with Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici in recent days, the report continues, to discuss a possible deal that would see Icardi move to Turin. The Bianconeri are hoping to send Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic to Paris in order to lower the cash sum for Icardi.

The 27-year-old has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists.
