Inter Need Clarity On Future Of Alexis Sanchez & Lautaro Martinez Before Signing Any Strikers

Inter are trying to understand the futures of Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez, as possible reinforcements cannot be signed until their situations are resolved, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the negotiations between Barcelona and the Nerazzurri regarding the 22-year-old Lautaro are currently at a stalemate, with there being clear differences between the two parties.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is open to other ideas, like Manchester City, which would in turn allow the club to spend more heavily in the market.

Sanchez’s future is also uncertain, the report continues, as the Nerazzurri are unsure if he’ll even be able to potentially play in a Europa League clash against Manchester United.

The Milanese club are interested in keeping the Chilean for another season but talks with the Red Devils are slow. It would suit Inter better if the English club failed to qualify for the Champions League, as otherwise the Chilean would return to England to take his fully £20 million a season salary.
