Inter coach Antonio Conte is keen to sign Emerson Palmieri, Olivier Giroud and N’Golo Kante from Chelsea but his fractured relationship with the London club may limit the chances of successful deals, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInter1908 earlier today.
The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach’s departure from Chelsea was not subtle and, whilst he may have won in court, may face the impact of his previous decisions. Emerson would cost €25 million, Giroud would cost €5 million and Kante would be €60 million, for a total of €90 million.
Whilst this could be tempting for Chelsea, especially considering their work to sign Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz, the report continues, but the club hold form.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, who is not a fan of Conte, complicated the situation in January by asking for a high price for both Emerson and Marcos Alonso. Talks are likely to be ongoing for some time.
