Inter Keep 3rd Clean Sheet In 7 Last Games Yesterday Against Fiorentina

Inter’s third clean sheet in their past seven matches is little more than a consolation for them following the goalless draw versus Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Despite having various chances to score, Inter somehow failed to find a way past Pietro Terracciano, who put in a man of the match performance for the visitors.

By failing to win against Fiorentina, Inter have handed arch rivals Juventus the chance to clinch their ninth straight Serie A title with a victory in this evening’s match against Udinese.

The report goes on to state that to draw closer to Juventus in what remains of the season and to have a good Europa League, Inter need to do something more.

Inter are sitting in third place at the moment with 73 points to their name after 35 games played, seven adrift of Juventus. They are also due to face Getafe in a one legged match in the last 16 of the Europa League at the start of next month.
