Inter Wing-Back Cristiano Biraghi Matched Personal Assist Record In 1 Season Against Genoa

Inter wing back Cristiano Biraghi matched a personal record last night, after providing his fifth assist of the season in the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over Genoa last night, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 27-year-old Italian wing back joined from Fiorentina on loan last summer, with Dalbert moving the other way.

Biraghi, despite featuring regularly for coach Antonio Conte, hasn’t particularly impressed this season and doesn’t seem likely to stay with the club beyond this summer.

Despite a fairly unexciting season, Biraghi still matched his personal assist record yesterday, the report continues. The 27-year-old Italian provided the cross for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku where he opened the scoring, bringing the player’s season total of assists to five in the league.

Last season for Fiorentina Biraghi also provided five assists in the league, a record he could break in the final two games of the season.
