Italian Media Report Man Utd Give Inter An Ultimatum In Alexis Sanchez Negotiations

Manchester United have given Inter an ultimatum in negotiations over Alexis Sanchez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Premier League club have told Inter that the only way that Sanchez can stay in Milan is if Inter buy him outright. Whilst Inter would like to keep him, they have other ideas about how to keep him.

The report from the Rome based news outlet explains that Inter would be open to taking him on loan again with an obligation to buy attached or acquiring him via a swap deal that would see Ivan Perisic head in the opposite direction.

Manchester United want €20 million for the Chilean national team player and his €13 million annual salary – which increases by 25% when Manchester United are in the Champions League – also poses an issue for Inter.

In order to stay at Inter, Sanchez would have to agree to a wage cut and would have to agree to a three year contract with Inter, in order to allow the Nerazzurri club to take advantage of the Italian tax laws.
