Arturo Vidal could see out the final year of his contract with Barcelona according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The Chilean midfielder has long been linked with a potential move away from the La Liga giants ahead of the upcoming transfer window with his name being inserted into several negotiations, including negotiations with Inter over Lautaro Martinez, but the Catalan club are now open to keeping him at the club.
Especially in the second half of the season, the former Bayern Munich player has impressed with his performances, has shown versatility, good fitness and that he is a good fit in the squad.
The 33-year-old has also had his best minutes per goal average of his career with him having averaged a goal every 208 minutes this season.
This season Vidal has made 42 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored eight goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
