Italian Media Argue Romelu Lukaku Proven To Be Worth €78M Fee Inter Paid Man Utd To Sign Him

Romelu Lukaku has proven to be worth the price that Inter paid for him last Summer with his performances this term according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter paid a club record €65 million plus €13 million in add-ons to sign the Belgian national team striker from Manchester United and he has scored a personal best 29 goals across all competitions this term, a tally the man he replaced, Mauro Icardi, never achieved in a single season at the club.

Lukaku has continued to perform even whilst teammates Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez have had difficulties and with at least three games left of the season, the Belgian national team player could add more goals to his tally.

The 27-year-old former Everton player has struggled to score goals against big teams in Serie A this season though and the report points out that that could change for Lukaku next season.
