Inter have reached an agreement with Alexis Sanchez over personal terms according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri club would like to keep a hold of Sanchez and have made one step closer to doing so after agreeing a three year contract, which will see the €15 million per year he would earn at Manchester United in the next two seasons, instead spread across the duration of the three year deal.
Manchester United initially demanded €20 millino for the Chilean national team player but have now dropped their asking price to €15 million.
Inter would rather not pay anything and will try and make the most of the fact that they would be doing Manchester United a favour by taking his mega salary off of their books.
The report goes on to explain that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta must get the deal done by August 5, the day his current loan deal with the club expires.
The report then concludes that what happens with the rest of the attack will be determined by whether or not Lautaro Martinez stays.
