Italian Media Report Highlights ‘Undeniable Progress’ Inter Have Made Under Antonio Conte

Inter have made undeniable progress under the stewardship of manager Antonio Conte a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport highlights.

Inter have 79 points to their name with a game to spare, a better points tally than they accrued in either of the two seasons which Luciano Spalletti was in charge, where they picked up 72 and 69 points.

Thanks to Conte Inter have also managed to significantly decrease the gap between themselves and arch rivals Juventus. At the end of the 2018/19 season, Inter finished 21 points behind the Bianconeri but are just four points behind them at the moment.

The report also highlights that if Inter win on Saturday in the season finale against Atalanta they will hit 82 points, the same total that Inter got the year they won their historic treble.

Inter also currently have the best defensive record in the division and are guaranteed of having at least the third best attacking record too.

Despite this clear improvement, the report from the Turin based news outlet adds that Inter’s owners Suning still expected something more and they are expecting a good performance in the Europa League as they want to win their first piece of silverware as club owners.
