Italian Media Deem Inter’s Chances Of Signing Lionel Messi From Barcelona This Summer As Impossible

It seems almost impossible that Lionel Messi will leave Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The multi-time world player of the year has been linked with a potential switch to Inter in recent days in the media but for the time being it seems as good as impossible that he will leave Barcelona, where he has spent the entirety of his career.

It could however be a different situation next Summer though as his contract is due to expire at the end of next season. Messi could decide against signing a contract renewal and could seek a move away, especially if Josep Maria Bartomeu remains the president of the Blaugrana.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to state that Messi’s representatives did not like Inter owners Suning’s PPTV Sports channel’s recent graphic which projected their client onto Milan’s famous Duomo cathedral as part of a graphic for Inter’s recent match against Napoli.
