Football Agent D’Amico: “Inter Can Only Sign Lionel Messi On A Free Transfer”

Football agent Vincenzo D’Amico has shared his belief that it will only be possible for Inter to sign Barcelona captain Lionel Messi if he is to become a free agent.

Inter have been heavily linked with a potential move for the Argentine national team player in the media as of late and reports have suggested that Inter’s owners Suning’s are not phased in the slightest by Messi’s current ginormous salary.

“Messi at Inter is a possible deal if he becomes a free agent, otherwise it is impossible. It is true that Italy has become an elephant cemetery, when the champions are at the end of their career they see Italy as an opportunity,” D’Amico explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio 24 show ‘Tutto Convocati’ yesterday evening.

Messi is currently under contract with the Blaugrana club, who he has spent his entire playing career with, until the end of next season.

This season the 33-year-old has made 42 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just over 3600 minutes, the multi-time world player of the year has scored 30 goals and provided a total of 26 assists to his teammates.
