Inter Hoping To Recover Alexis Sanchez In Time For Europa League Semi Final

Inter will try to recover Alexis Sanchez for Monday’s Europa League semi final according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player sustained a thigh strain in his right thigh during last night’s 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter finals of the competition at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

The player receieved treatment from the club’s medical staff and they bandaged him up which allowed him to play the remainder of the game in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Sanchez’s season cannot necessarily be considered as over at this moment in time.

Sanchez, who recently joined Inter on a permanent basis after freeing himself from Manchester United, made his 31st appearance across all competitions last night for Inter.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal star was however unable to add to his tallies of four goals and 10 assists during his time on the park last night.
