Inter president Steven Zhang and the other Nerazzurri executives underwent the necessary tests to fly to Dusseldorf yesterday, as they look to join the squad ahead of Monday’s Europa League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the tests were carried out at the club’s training ground at Appiano Gentile yesterday, where the 28-year-old Chinese president was present for a visit.
He will fly to Germany tomorrow with the other executives, a day before the semifinal against the Ukrainian side.
Vice president Javier Zanetti has already left for Germany to join the squad, the report continues. The meeting between the executives and coach Antonio Conte will take place at the conclusion of the Europa League campaign, both to discuss market objectives and the Lecce born coach’s future. For now, all are focused on the remaining two games ahead of the side.
