Roma are unlikely to make an announcement regarding a new sporting director in the short term according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian capital city club are currently without a permanent sporting director after parting company with Gianluca Petrachi in the past few weeks and have Morgan de Sanctis standing working as the sporting director on an interim basis.
The upcoming transfer window will be dealt with by the management currently at the Giallorossi club and then a decision will be made with regard to the appointment of a new sporting director.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is understood to be on their shortlist but is not the only one with the report from the Milan based news outlet also stating that Juventus’ Fabio Paratici and Napoli’s Cristiano Giuntoli are both also under consideration by Roma, who are on the verge of being taken over by American businessman and billionaire Dan Friedkin.
