Inter centre back Alessandro Bastoni has set his sights on staying with Inter for a long time and winning as much as possible in the Nerazzurri shirt.
“I’m an Inter fan and it would be a dream for me to stay with the Nerazzurri for 20 years,” he began an interview with Italian You Tube channel Cronache Di Spogliatoio.
Bastoni was joined by legendary Italian defender and former Juventus player Andrea Barzagli for the interview and Bastoni spoke on what they have in common and the evolution of roles in football.
“The two of us have Conte in common, Andrea knows what the coach asks for. The defender’s first task is to defend, then all the better if he knows how to set up goals. We are moving towards a kind of football in which roles count for little because everyone must know how to do everything.”
Next Bastoni was asked if he is someone who requires music before a match in order to concentrate and prepare for what is ahead.
“I’m not one of those who have to be concentrated with music, everyone is free to prepare for the game as they see fit by finding their own concentration.”
He then spoke on who he shares a room with and how he and some teammates occupy themselves when they are together.
“I share a room with Skriniar, who is also a very good boy. We are also in the room with others, like Brozovic who has everything to play darts. He has every kind of dart and we pass hours playing.
“He is the best at it, he competes with professional players. He has a bar in Croatia where he organizes darts tournaments, he takes it seriously.”
In conclusion the highly rated Italian youth national team player spoke on the goals that he has for his career both on a personal level and what he wants to achieve as part of a team.
“I’m certainly very lucky to be where I am, Conte, Marotta and Oriali push you to give your best and have ambition. My ambition is to not stop and improve myself. I have all the time in the world in this sense. My goal is to win as much as possible with Inter.”
