The current status of Inter’s pursuits of Emerson Palmieri and Sandro Tonali are almost the exact same according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Emerson Palmieri has already given his ‘yes’ to the Nerazzurri club who still need to find an agreement with his employers Chelsea over him. Reports elsewhere in the media have stated that the Premier League club are demanding €30 million for him.
As for Tonali, Inter have agreed personal terms with the highly rated Brescia midfielder on the basis of a five year contract worth €3.5 million a year including add-ons.
It is now up to Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta to convince Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino to part ways with Tonali.
Inter want to do a loan with obligation to buy deal for Tonali and do not want to spend a penny over €35 million between the loan fee and the purchase amount.
