In today’s print edition, Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport have examined the money at stake for Inter ahead of their Europa League final with Sevilla tomorrow night.
Inter have already pocketed a total of €56 million this season from participating in the Champions League group stages and the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Winning the Europa League would guarantee Inter a sum of €4 million and Inter will also get about €5 million from the market pool. Moreover, winning the Europa League will mean Inter will participate in next month’s Europa League final which will give Inter a further €3.5 million.
Inter’s total earnings from participating in Europe this season could therefore be around €70 million in the best case scenario.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to highlight that this is more money than Inter earned when they won the Champions League back in 2010 when they pocketed just €48.8 million in pocket money.
