Inter coach Antonio Conte will discuss his future with the club with president Steven Zhang in a meeting on Tuesday next week, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.
The report details how the 51-year-old Italian coach alluded to an early departure from the Nerazzurri in interviews with the press yesterday, after the Milanese club’s bitter 3-2 loss to Sevilla in the Europa League final. President Zhang was already present in Germany to watch the game and will meet with Conte on Tuesday to discuss his future with the club.
Considering that Conte earns around €12 million a season and is contracted to the club for another two seasons, an outright dismissal is unlikely, the report continues. However, the 51-year-old Italian coach could resign from the club, something he has history with after resigning from Juventus in 2014 for a different approach to the transfer market than the board.
