Despite media reports yesterday, it is incredibly unlikely that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio will leave the club, with team manager Gabriele Oriali more likely to depart, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how Inter coach Antonio Conte will meet with the club’s management in a meeting next week on Tuesday to discuss his future and transfer market objectives, and considering his poor relationship with the Nerazzurri sporting director, may ask for the Italian to be replaced. Ausilio recently renewed his contract with the club until 2022 and there are no plans for him to leave before then, despite Roma’s interest.

Rather, Oriali is more likely to leave, the report continues. The 67-year-old Italian took on the team manager role at Inter last July after the appointment of Conte and is the only executive that the Nerazzurri coach feels close to. Should Conte leave, it’s likely that Oriali would depart too.
